Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs) form part of the Local Development Framework (LDF).

South West Maidenhead Development Framework SPD

On Thursday 15 December 2022 the Council adopted the South West Maidenhead Development Framework Supplementary Planning Document (SPD).

The SPD provides further guidance to supplement the policies for development in the South West Maidenhead area as set out in the Borough Local Plan (February 2022) to ensure that development in the area comes forward in a strategic and comprehensive manner. The SPD sets out:

  • broad design principles to ensure high quality, sustainable and coherent development
  • a range of other key principles and requirements for the development of the area
  • a framework for the timely and coordinated delivery of necessary infrastructure.

The SPD is a material consideration in the determination of planning applications.
