General Data Protection Regulation Article 6(1)(a) Consent
General Data Protection Regulation Article 6(1b) processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller or by a third party except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection of personal data.
General Data Protection Regulation Article 6(1)(e) processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller.
How we collect information
This information will be collected by paper forms, then input into a digital form for collation. Paper forms will then be shredded.
If possible, we will seek external research funding to purchase tablets so that the information can be directly input to the survey on Citizen Space.
What information is collected
The following information is collected:
- Street of residence.
- Data about the location of people.
- Ethnic origin.
- Employment.
- Age.
- Parent and caregiving status.
- Gender.
- Information about preferences, habits, behaviour including physical activity habits.
- Audio recordings.
- Information concerning the health and wellbeing of people.
- Images such as photos, video footage of the street (not people).
How we use information provided
The purpose of this data collection is to better understand people’s use of Vansittart Road, physical activity, and wellbeing.
Who has access to the information about you
The following departments will have access to your information:
- Public Health.
- Transport and Infrastructure.
- Strategy and Insights (who manage Citizen Space).
Raw data will be password protected.
Who we may share your information with
We may share your information with a local University researcher and their students to enhance our analysis. All data will be anonymised before sharing expect for that directly collected by them.
How long we store your information
Your personal details will be retained for five years following completion of the road changes, no more than 10 years.
