Lawful basis for processing information
General Data Protection Regulation Article 6(1)(a) Consent
General Data Protection Regulation Article 6(1b) processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by the controller or by a third party except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection of personal data.
General Data Protection Regulation Article 6(1)(e) processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller.
How we collect information
We will be collecting information via an online form only.
What information is collected
The following personal information is collected:
- Name.
- Phone number.
- Email address.
- Ethnic origin.
- Date of birth.
- School year group.
- Gender.
- Pupil premium.
- Medical relating to educational needs and allergies.
- Payment details - bank, card or credit card information.
As a grant recipient of Department for Transport (DfT) funding for Bikeability, Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead are required to ask participants for special category data, such as their ethnic origin.
Data is anonymised and passed on to Bikeability Trust, who administrates the grant funding on behalf of DfT, for reporting purposes. Participants may opt out of providing this data.
How we use information provided
Active travel holiday courses allow participants to book the Bikeability course via an online form and payment system.
The data collected is necessary to hold a place on the course for the participant and communicate any requirements or changes for the course.
Data is anonymised and passed on to Bikeability Trust, who administrates the grant funding on behalf of Department for Transport (DfT), for reporting purposes.

Details you provide will be shared with our Road Safety Team – Transport, Highways and Parking.
Who we may share your information with
We may share you information with Bespoke Cycling Instruction.
How long we store your information
Your person details will be retained for six months. After this, your information will be securely deleted.
