Wedding at Guildhall

The Windsor Guildhall provides a truly unique setting in the heart of Windsor for your special day. 
We are a popular choice for those planning smaller, intimate ‘micro weddings’ of 15 guests or less but we can seat up to 100 guests in our Council Chamber for ceremonies, drinks receptions and sit down meals. 
We have some all-inclusive packages which offer a unique all in one solution of venue hire, food and drink, a photographer and flowers at a very competitive rate from our trusted suppliers. 
Our central location means that you can opt to combine a Guildhall ceremony with other local hotels, restaurants or even river cruises. 

Weddings and civil partnerships can take place Monday - Sunday between 11am and 3.30pm. 

Getting married in 2021

Our flexible approach to weddings means that we have continued to host many ceremonies throughout 2020 and 2021, despite the coronavirus restrictions. 

From Monday 19 July 2021 we can host ceremonies, drinks receptions and sit down meals for up to 100 guests.  We advise you to read the government guidance for indoor events to ensure you are comfortable on the day and to help minimise any risk of COVID-19 transmission.

How much does it cost to get married at The Guildhall?

Standard hire of the Guildhall starts from £850 and we offer a variety of different packages in conjunction with our trusted suppliers for you to tailor your ceremony to your needs. 

These include adding your own flowers, a violinist, additional time for photographs, use of the outdoor space below the Guildhall (The Corn Exchange) and even the option for a champagne reception or a sit-down meal in the Council Chamber. 

If you are a Royal Borough resident with an Advantage Card you can save up to £200 on a ceremony held Friday – Sunday and up to £400 between Monday and Thursday. 

In addition to hiring the Guildhall for your ceremony, you will also need to arrange for a registrar to be at your wedding, prices start from £531 for midweek bookings.

Event hire options at the Guildhall

We take pride in offering a genuinely bespoke service to all of our clients and there are many flexible venue hire options available.

These include:

  • Ceremony only.
  • Ceremony and extended room hire for additional photography time for you and your guests.
  • Ceremony and drinks reception in the Council Chamber (seated at tables of six).
  • Ceremony and use of our outdoor reception area at the  Corn Exchange below the Guildhall.
  • Ceremony, drinks reception and canapes (seated at tables of six) in the Council Chamber.
  • Ceremony, drinks reception, sit down meal (seated at tables of six) in the Council Chamber.

Accessibility: The function rooms are on the first floor. A Stannah chair is available for guests with reduced mobility. We can only allow six Stannah chair users access to the first floor at any one time.
