Getting married at the Windsor Guildhall
The Windsor Guildhall provides a truly unique setting in the heart of Windsor for your special day.
We are a popular choice for those planning smaller, intimate ‘micro weddings’ of 15 guests or less and we can also accommodate larger events with seating options for up to 100 guests in our Council Chamber.
Your ceremony can be personalised with your own special vows or music and you are also welcome to dress the room with your choice of flowers. Many couples choose to extend their room hire time to include a drinks reception after their ceremony or to host their wedding breakfast here with us.
There are many stunning photo opportunities inside the building and on the covered area known as the Corn Market underneath the Guildhall. This makes us an ideal all year round wedding venue as you will be guaranteed to have beautiful wedding photographs, whatever the weather.
Our central location means that you can opt to combine a Guildhall ceremony with other local hotels, restaurants or even river cruises.
How to book your ceremony
At the Guildhall we host weddings and civil partnerships twelve months of the year, Monday to Saturday from 10am–4 pm. Ceremonies outside these days and times can be accommodated on request, subject to availability.
You’ll need a registrar to conduct your ceremony and make your vows official. Additional fees apply for this, payable directly to the registration team. The Royal Borough registrars will guide you through the legal process and will also discuss how you can personalise your ceremony with your own special vows, readings, poetry or music. Please contact the registrars via the ceremony booking request form.
We recommend that you first speak to our event team at the Guildhall to reserve your preferred date by emailing our event management team at guildhall@rbwm.gov.uk, then contact the registration team to confirm that a registrar is available for your chosen date and time. Once your registrars booking is confirmed you can then finalise your room hire reservation with us.
There are discounts available on Guildhall room hire for midweek ceremonies and Royal Borough residents qualify for additional discounts with a valid Advantage Card or proof of residency.
How much does it cost to get married at The Guildhall?
