The company originally was established as a property development and management company to maximise council assets and provide a financial return to the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead
With affordable housing being a key element, its focus is on enabling the delivery of affordable housing on Council owned land through regeneration with joint venture partners, both developers and registered providers within the affordable and private rental market in the geographic boundaries of the Royal Borough by providing affordable accommodation, with a priority focus for keyworkers.
The business was initially incorporated in 2011 as ‘Two5Nine’ and as the council’s general commercial trading arm changed its name in May 2016 to RBWM Property Company Ltd to reflect its renewed focus as a property management and development company.
The key focus is on the delivery of regeneration for the borough, and acts as the Council in house property development, consultancy service and client-side project management service. This service has the potential to deliver other commercial services, in order to maximise efficiencies and improve customer service.
