The council has been working with contactors and specialists to fully assess the structure of the car park.  It is evident from these investigations that the structure has reached the end of its useable life.  Officers of the council will need to carefully consider the available options and associated costs with what happens next. No decision has yet been made at this stage .  A report for consideration will be brought to Cabinet in due course.
