The Thames Valley Berkshire Local Enterprise Partnership and the six local authorities in Berkshire have jointly commissioned an assessment of the economic market area of the county. This comprises two elements:

  • Functional Economic Market Area (FEMA) – defining the geography of the economic market areas within which the county operates
  • Economic Development Needs Assessment – for each FEMA, assessing the demand for employment land and floorspace

Alongside this, the council has separately commissioned a review of existing and potential employment sites in the borough so as to assess the potential supply of new employment land and floorspace.

These three elements will be available for download as they are published. Together, they will make up what is commonly known as an Employment Land Review. The latest full Employment Land Review for the borough, dating from 2009, is also available to download until such time as the new work is complete.
