I am requesting information on maintaining the road and pavement infrastructure within the Royal Borough.
Please can you supply the polices around maintenance for both roads and pavements. We have seen an exponential rise in the number of potholes and uneven pavements over the last 12 months. As a car owner, who pays road fund tax to run my vehicle, I'd like to understand the budget allocated and spent on maintaining the roads and pavements over the last 12 months, and if there is a priority for dealing with certain roads, over other roads within the Royal Borough.
My other query is when there is major roadworks for example the sewer replacement in Shoppenhangers road, is there a requirement within the policy to re-surface the road, rather than yet another patch up, which just doesn't last. And if so, who is responsible for this?
