How we collect information
- General Data Protection Regulation Article 6(1)(a) - processing is based on consent.
- General Data Protection Regulation Article 9(2)(a) - processing is based on explicit consent.
- Personal data is supplied by service users online via the council’s website by filling out the ‘I Need Help Form.’ The information you provide will help us determine which residents need help and to provide you with assistance as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
What information is collected
When you complete the ‘I Need Help Form’, you are asked to provide us with basic information about you including your name, address, telephone number and email address. We also collect special category information about you regarding your particular circumstances, such as whether you consider yourself to be vulnerable, shielded or extremely clinically vulnerable. This information is used to identify whether you (or those closely linked to you) fall into the high-risk category and would be considered particularly vulnerable if infected with coronavirus.
How we use the information provided
The information is collected to enable you to transact with the council, the Residents and Customer Services team, from one central point and connect you to support in the community as part of the COVID-19 response. We will be able to put you in touch with the right services within the council or within the community who will be able to support you.
Who has access to the information about you
Public Health England and The Royal Borough’s 'Outbreak Management Cell' have access to the information provided by you in order to fulfil service functions. All personal data held, is processed in accordance with data protection law. The Data Controller for the information outlined in this privacy notice is Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
Who we may share your information with
How your information is shared is dependent on the service you transact with through your account. The service specific privacy notices can be found on our privacy notice webpage.
How long we store your information
We store your personal data until you request it to be removed. You can ask for your account to be deleted if you have no open cases by emailing email@example.com or by calling 01628 683800.
