Personal information may be collected from Councillors, via phone, email, online or in person.
Categories of information collected
The categories of personal information we may process about Councillors include, name, address, contact details, date of birth, education, employment details, family member names and contact details, ethnic origin and details relating to a DBS check if required.
How we use the information provided
Personal information is collected from Councillors to assist with enquiries, offer support with their role and meet our statutory obligations.
Who has access to the information
RBWM Council including, Democratic Services, Communications Team and the Information Governance Team.
Who we may share your information with
Contact details are published on the RBWM Council website. The councillor database is held on the Council’s committee management system, externally hosted by Modern.Gov which Democratic Services can access.
How long we store your information
RBWM Council will only process your personal information for as long as necessary and within statutory requirements.
