General Data Protection Regulation Article 6(1)(e) processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller.
Local Government Act 1999.

How we collect information

We may collect your personal information, in person, via phone call, electronic means including email and online forms or by post. 

What information is collected

Personal information is collected to process a query or request which includes, name, address, email address and contact number(s).

How we use the information provided

We will use this information to create your account, correspond with you about your account and respond to your enquiries. 

Who has access to the information about you

Our Complaints and compliments team, Digital and Development team and Customer Services will have access to your information.

Who we may share your information with

We will not share your information with third parties. However, we may share your contact details with our Communications team should we be required to send you a service announcement about your account. 

We may also share personal information if required under an applicable data protection exemption such as for the prevention and detection of a crime.

How long we store your information

Your personal information will be stored until you delete your My Account or ask us to delete it.

You can opt out and ask us to remove your details at any time by emailing: customer.service@rbwm.gov.uk.
