Coronation

The children of Alexander First School designed beautiful plaques celebrating the Coronation featuring the splendid Gold State Coach, the traditional Royal symbols of state such as St Edward’s Crown and the Sovereign's Sceptre with Dove, the elegantly turned out horses and the soldiers of the various Household Divisions proudly lining the street as the young Princess Elizabeth passes on her way to the crowning ceremony at Westminster Abbey. The final illustrations aim to capture the richness of the children’s drawings.
