Traffic Management Act 2004.
Article 6(1)(e) processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public
interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller.
How we collect your information
Data is supplied by service users (online form, email, post), vehicle hire company or via the DVLA.
Categories of information collected
We collect name, address, telephone number, date of birth, vehicle details, insurance details,
residency details and evidence supporting application / appeal.
How we use the information provided
The information is used to:
- Contact the registered keeper/driver of the vehicle to advice of the action to be taken.
- Recover unpaid charges.
- Assess eligibility for a parking permit.
- Carry necessary investigation of reported abandoned vehicle.
Who has access to the information about you
Police for parking enforcement (security) and the prevention and detection of crime.
Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Financial Control: If you make payments online or
self-service kiosks, we will share the information you enter with our Financial Control department to process your payments.
Royal Borough employees where appropriate (e.g. to resolve an enquiry; for complaint investigation).
Who we may share your information with
Traffic Penalty Tribunal, Traffic Enforcement Centre, NSL Enforcement Company, Rundles,
Jacobs Enforcement, Marston Group, Phoenix Commercial, Police, Audit organizations.
How long we store your information
Records are kept for a maximum of five years.
