Residents, taxi drivers and groups are invited to have their say on taxi licensing proposals in the Royal Borough.

A company with big plans to transform an empty sports pavilion into a centre of excellence for padel tennis, one of the world’s fastest growing new sports, has been welcomed to the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead.

As days grow colder and heating bills rise, the Royal Borough is again boosting promotion of cost of living support and encouraging those struggling financially to seek help before problems escalate.

Councillor Simon Werner, the Council Leader, said: “This announcement, asking rail companies to withdraw their poorly-considered plans to close rail ticket offices, is the best possible outcome, because clearly this move would’ve disadvantaged many vulnerable passengers in the Royal Borough and elsewhere.

The charity which provides help to residents whose lives are blighted by domestic abuse has been recommissioned by the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead for a further two years.
