Maidenhead library

The Nicholson Local Studies Room has five map cabinets containing as follows (L-R):

  1. Miscellaneous - A wide range of maps of Berkshire and the Maidenhead area, including tithe maps, geological maps and copies of Rocque's survey of Berkshire (1761) in sections. 
  2. Various - includes: GOAD plans of Maidenhead's Central Business District, most years 1969 - ; OS 25-inch scale County Series maps of the Maidenhead area, 1875-1925 incl.; 10 OS 1:500 scale maps of Maidenhead town centre; OS 6-inch scale County Series quarter sheets, 1911-1940; Maps of the Jubilee River Maidenhead, Windsor & Eton Flood Alleviation Scheme.
  3. OS 1:1250 and 1:2500 scale maps of the Maidenhead area, 1950s-1980s
  4. OS 1:1250 and 1:2500 scale maps of the Windsor & Ascot area, 1950s-1980s
  5. OS 1:1250 scale maps of the Maidenhead area, early 1990s

Windsor library

The first floor Local Studies area has two map cabinets containing as follows (L-R):

  1. Various - includes: GOAD plans of Windsor's Central Business District, most years 1969 - ; OS 1:1250 and 1:2500 scale maps of Windsor, Egham and Englefield Green, 1990s.
  2. Various - includes: OS 25-inch County Series maps of Windsor, 1868-1931; OS 1:1250 and 1:2500 scale maps of Windsor, 1950-80s.
