General Data Protection Regulation Article 6(1)(e) – processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller.
How we collect information
Data on home address are provided to us from conveyers, solicitors, legal firms and individuals. Some individual’s personal information on occasion may also be provided by the same sources.
Information we collect
We collect the following information to process a search; Address of property, company details of whom has requested the search and a plan showing the area of the property which may show other road names nearby, email address and phone number of the requestor, company bank details for payment of searches.
How we use the information provided
We use this information to be able to provide a Local Land Charges Search to customers/requesters.

Council departments which are relevant to the scheme which include.

- Planning
- Legal
- Tree Team
- Building Control
Who we may share your information with
We will share this information with our highways team to answer questions 3.2, 3.4 and 3.6 on the CON29r, and all other departments mentioned above as we receive many queries on search results and speak or email the originating data provider.
How long we store your information
Information will be retained for no longer than necessary and for a maximum of eight years.
