Feathers Lane Parking

Petition: We the undersigned petition the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead to to introduce double yellow line parking restrictions on both sides of Feathers Lane, from Sarsby Drive to the junction with the B376.

The proposed restrictions are requested to stop scrap vehicles and airport parking heavy goods vehicles from parking continuously along Feathers Lane. This currently causes large vehicles to mount the kerb to pass, resulting in damage to drains and paths.

Parked vehicles also create dangerous exit points from Conifers Flats and adjacent houses by blocking visibility. In addition, roads and footpaths are unable to be properly cleaned due to persistent parking by vehicles that do not belong to local residents.

Dedicated Table Tennis Venue in Maidenhead

Petition: We the undersigned petition the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead to provide a venue or a parcel of land so that a dedicated table tennis club can provide both the skill and kit to develop willing players of all ages to engage in this sport, in conjunction with Maidenhead and District Table Tennis Association. This venue will ideally need to be able to accommodate five tables that meet Table Tennis England league match standards of space (9m x 5m per table).

Table tennis has been a cornerstone of our community for generations — a sport that welcomes everyone, from energetic children discovering their first hobby to older adults staying active, social, and mentally sharp. Yet despite its popularity, affordability, and proven health benefits, Maidenhead currently lacks a permanent venue where people can play, learn, and develop their skills.

A dedicated table tennis centre would transform opportunities for our town. It would provide:

• A safe, positive space for children to stay active, build confidence, and learn new skills.
• Affordable access to one of the lowest cost sports available.
• Professional coaching opportunities for beginners, improvers, and competitive players.
• A year round venue for social play, league matches, school programmes, and community events.
• A hub for all ages, helping residents stay physically active, mentally engaged, and socially connected.

With Maidenhead’s population growing, it’s more important than ever to protect and expand the activities that bring people together. Table tennis is inclusive, low impact, and accessible to nearly everyone — but without a dedicated venue, the sport in our town is at risk of disappearing.

By signing this petition, you are helping secure a permanent home for table tennis in Maidenhead and ensuring that future generations can enjoy this lifelong sport.

Do RBWM residents believe every borough resident should have Parish/Town Council representation?

Petition: We the undersigned petition the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead to create Windsor and Maidenhead town councils ASAP.

Currently RBWM has 15 Parish and Town councils representing all areas except:

• Windsor town.
• Maidenhead town.

This means that while the following areas all have the lowest tier of local government representation:

• Bisham.
• Bray,
• Cookham.
• Cox Green.
• Datchet.
• Eton Town.
• Horton.
• Hurley.
• Old Windsor.
• Shottesbrooke.
• Sunningdale.
• Sunninghill and Ascot.
• Waltham St Lawrence.
• White Waltham.
• Wraysbury.

Windsor town and Maidenhead town don’t.

Heatherwood Royal – Petition to Decline the Proposed Social Rent Acquisition

Petition: We the undersigned petition the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead to stop the 59 unit social rent acquisition at the Heatherwood Royal site.

The 2017 Section 106 agreement for Heatherwood Royal required Taylor Wimpey to make an off-site affordable housing contribution, following a viability assessment which concluded that on-site affordable housing was not viable. This position was communicated to purchasers during the sales process and formed a material part of residents’ decision-making.

The current proposal for RBWM to acquire 59 units on site for social rent represents a significant reversal of that viability position. Residents have not been provided with any revised viability assessment, any explanation of what has changed since 2017, or any consultation despite the material impact on purchasers who relied on the original S106 wording.
