Information on a number of licensing applications for example, skip, road traffic signals, erecting a banner, crane licence and much more.
Skip licence applications can only be considered by skip companies registered with the council. To register, please email Highway.licence@rbwm.gov.uk who will provide you with the registration form. There is an annual fee of £110 on completion of an approved registration.
Please read through the steps below before applying for a skip licence.
Applications in all cases should be submitted at least 10 working days before the licence is required.
The container shall not exceed 5m in length and 2m in width.
Should the application be withdrawn a £50 administrative charge will be retained by the council and the balance returned to the applicant.

If the conditions are not adhered to, this will result in a £250 fine for each contravention.

It is an offence to place a skip on the highway without obtaining a licence from the Council. Unauthorised unlicenced skips on the highway carries a fine of £600.
