The Localism Act introduces statutory neighbourhood planning in England.

Cookham Neighbourhood Plan 2021-2038: Decision Statement

The Independent Examination has now closed. The Assistant Director of Planning and the Cabinet Member for Planning, Governance & Asset Management agree with the recommendations in the Examiner’s Report. An Officer Decision Notice has therefore been completed to confirm the modified Plan should proceed to a Referendum based on the Cookham Neighbourhood Area. This is expected to be held on Thursday 17 July 2025.

Cookham Neighbourhood Plan 2021-2038: Submission Version – Independent Examination

Following the closure of the Regulation 16 Consultation, the Submission Plan was submitted for Independent Examination on Tuesday 18 March 2025.

The Examiner’s Report was received on Monday 26 May 2025. The Examiner has concluded that subject to his recommended modifications, the plan meets the basic conditions and other relevant legal requirements as laid out in the Localism Act 2011.

The Examiner has recommended that the modified Plan should proceed to a Referendum based on the Cookham Neighbourhood Area.

Cookham Neighbourhood Plan 2021-2038: Submission Version - Regulation 16 Consultation

Cookham Parish Council has submitted a Neighbourhood Plan for the Cookham neighbourhood area.

The Plan sets out the local community’s aspirations for the Plan area over the period to 2038 and establishes policies in relation to land use and development. It sets out the Vision for the Plan area and planning policies to guide future development to help determine planning applications in the area.

The Cookham Neighbourhood Plan 2021-2038 Submission Stage (Regulation 16) consultation took place between Monday 6 January 2025 and Monday 17 February 2025.
