Network and traffic management must be applied for.
Temporary traffic management, road closures, parking suspensions, crane licences and temporary structure requests must be applied for separately through the Network and Traffic Management Team.
All approvals are subject to road space availability and the suitability of the supporting documentation provided.
The Highways team approves all road closures, including those for filming. However, you must obtain both highways approval and a letter of no objection from the council film office before filming can proceed. Application fees apply and vary depending on the complexity of the request.
Parking suspensions and dispensations may be available in some council car parks and on-street bays to support filming. Please note that a parking suspension only prevents other vehicles from parking in the bay and does not in itself grant permission for production vehicles to use the space.
The film office manages applications for unit bases at council car parks. Commonly used locations include River Street, Alma Road, Coach Park and Alexandra Gardens car parks in Windsor.
Hire charge depends on duration and number of spaces required. For guidance, please contact filmunit@rbwm.gov.uk.
Please note there is a film office administration charge of £150+VAT for coordinating these requests.
Please contact the film office to discuss your requirements for on street parking to facilitate your shoot. There is a separate form and applicable fees for parking suspensions and dispensations from the parking department which may need to be completed.
