State visit

A state visit will take place from Tuesday 8 July to Thursday 10 July 2025.

State visit by The President of the French Republic and Mrs Brigitte Macron

The President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, and his wife Mrs Brigitte Macron will visit Windsor, under invite from the King, from Tuesday 8 July to Thursday 10 July. The President and his wife will stay at Windsor Castle.

We are working closely with Thames Valley Police, the Crown Estate and other key partners, to minimise disruption to those that live and work in, or plan to visit Windsor and expect an enhanced police presence in the town centre up to and including the days of the visit.

This page will be updated with useful information on council services, that may be impacted during the visit.
