Library volunteers are beacons in the communities that local libraries serve. Volunteers are vital in helping libraries explore and expand the activities on offer.

Summer Reading Challenge volunteers

If you are 14 years old or upwards, love reading and encouraging other young people to read, you need to volunteer for the Summer Reading Challenge. 

You will be able to use the summer to develop key skills such as:

  • Communicating with people.
  • Time management.
  • Boosting your self-confidence.
  • Being meticulous and self organised.
