Margaret Oliphant

Margaret Oliphant Oliphant (née Margaret Oliphant Wilson) (1828-1897), was a novelist and historical writer who resided in Windsor for 30 years. Oliphant produced more than 120 separate works, including novels, books of travel and description, histories and volumes of literary criticism. Both of her sons were educated at Eton College.

The plaque was unveiled 25 June 1997, supported by the Windsor and Eton Society
