It is situated to the south east of Waltham St Lawrence, Berkshire. Located predominantly in rural surroundings and bordered by hedgerows.

The site allows visitors to enjoy a semi-improved grassland and marshy grassland, a pond, picnic benches and a natural play area for children.

The main access is through Shurlock Road on the western boundary. There is a small car park for six cars, including one disabled car parking space and eight cycle spaces.

It also provides access to Pool Lane on the north of the site through a network of mown grass paths, these are created through the grassland with a section of raised paths which gives access over the wetter areas of the site.
