Universal Credit supports people who are on a low income or out of work.
Universal Credit supports people who are on a low income or out of work. It replaces the following benefits with a single monthly payment:
- Jobseekers Allowance (income-based JSA)
- Employment and Support Allowance (income-related ESA)
- Income Support
- Child Tax Credit
- Working Tax Credit
- Housing Benefit (unless you live in temporary or specified accommodation)
