Opened in August 2019, Shurlock Road is the latest addition to the borough's nature reserve open spaces.
It is situated to the south east of Waltham St Lawrence, Berkshire. Located predominantly in rural surroundings and bordered by hedgerows.
The site allows visitors to enjoy a semi-improved grassland and marshy grassland, a pond, picnic benches and a natural play area for children.
The main access is through Shurlock Road on the western boundary. There is a small car park for six cars, including one disabled car parking space and eight cycle spaces.
It also provides access to Pool Lane on the north of the site through a network of mown grass paths, these are created through the grassland with a section of raised paths which gives access over the wetter areas of the site.
