The Climate Partnership

Convening the community to enable decarbonisation projects.

Welcome to the Climate Partnership. We convene businesses, charities, the council, community groups and residents to enable decarbonisation projects in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

Current Funding Offers and Upcoming Events

Examples of projects the Climate Partnership has supported

Large Scale Solar, MaidEnergy

In 2023, the Climate Partnership supported MaidEnergy’s ‘Large Scale Solar’ project, which is delivering locally generated and locally owned renewable energy, with £60,000. Their new community share offer will fund the installation of 240kW of solar PV on the roof of Furze Platt Senior school, representing MaidEnergy’s biggest installation to date and providing long-term, secure renewable energy supply to Furze Platt Senior School at a fixed low cost.

Transforming Trinity, Holy Trinity Sunningdale

In 2025, the Climate Partnership awarded the "Big Climate Pot" to Holy Trinity Sunningdale's transformation project. The contribution of £25,000 is funding a solar array, a cornerstone of the church's ambitious retrofit plans. This will power the hub and significantly reduce its carbon footprint.

Reusable cup deposit scheme, Windsor & Eton Pride

The Climate Partnership supported the first-ever Windsor & Eton Pride with £3640 through the Climate Challenge fund, focusing on a reusable cup deposit scheme. The scheme was designed to reduce single-use waste and promote and promote sustainable habits.
