Adopted neighbourhood plans

The Horton and Wraysbury neighbourhood plan has been prepared by the Steering Group made up of Parish Councillors and members of the community. The plan establishes a future of the area and to sets out how that vision will be realised through planning and controlling land use and development change over the plan period 2018 to 2033.

The Horton and Wraysbury neighbourhood plan passed the Referendum with an 83% majority. The Horton and Wraysbury neighbourhood plan was formally made part of the Development Plan by the borough council on Tuesday 23 June 2020.

Background and associated documents

The Horton and Wraysbury neighbourhood plan has been examined by an independent examiner.

The referendum was held on Thursday 30 January 2020 with an 83% vote in favour to make the neighbourhood plan part of the development plan for the borough and to be used in making decisions on planning applications in the neighbourhood area.

The documents relevant for the referendum were:

• Proposed neighbourhood plan and its associated Neighbourhood character assessment.
• The independent examiner’s report.
• Summary of any representations submitted to the independent examiner.
• Decision Statement of the Local Planning Authority are satisfied that the draft plan meets those basic conditions as required in paragraph 8 (2) of Schedule 4B of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and complies with the provision made by or under Sections 38A and 38B of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004.
