It is important to have a local authority search carried out when buying a property.

Local land charges enquiries

Searches are not circulated in this Authority. Additional enquiries of the Local Authority (CON29R) can be answered by the Local Land Charges Service or can be answered by the department concerned. It is therefore advised that the particular department is contacted direct by letter enclosing a plan to which the enquiries relate.

Please note: Land Charges do not hold copies of documents, if you require a copy of a document you will need to go to the originating department.
