Royal Borough launches new roadshow to help residents live well and access local support

Residents across the Royal Borough will soon be able to access advice, support and community opportunities closer to home through a new community roadshow launching in November.

The Living Well Together Roadshow will bring together council services, health and care professionals, community groups and voluntary organisations in pop-up locations across the borough, making it easier for residents to find information, ask questions and discover support available in their local community.

Designed to help people stay healthy, connected, independent and well, the programme will offer residents a welcoming space to meet local organisations, learn about activities and services in their area, and explore opportunities to improve their wellbeing and maintain independence.

Visitors will be able to speak directly with a range of professionals from the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, including Adult Social Care teams such as social workers and occupational therapists, alongside community organisations providing practical support, activities and social opportunities.

The Living Well Together Roadshow programme supports the Royal Borough's ambition to help residents access the right support at the right time, with a strong focus on prevention, wellbeing and strengthening community connections.

Cabinet Member for Adult Services, Planning and Governance, Cllr Adam Bermange, said: "Our new community roadshow programme is about bringing support right into the heart of our communities and making it easier for residents to discover the services, activities and organisations that can help them live well.

“Too often, people only come across available support when they're already facing challenges. By bringing together council services, health professionals and community organisations in one place, we can help residents connect with support earlier, stay active and independent, and reduce the likelihood of problems developing into more complex needs."

The first Living Well Together Roadshow will take place at St Peter's Church, Furze Platt, on Thursday 12 November from 11am to 3pm, with further events planned in the coming months for every ward in the borough.

Residents are welcome to drop in, speak to local organisations and find out more about the support and opportunities available in their area. No booking is required.
