Volunteering at the Museum
Windsor & Royal Borough Museum is located on the ground floor at Windsor Guildhall. Volunteers bring enthusiasm and inspiration to our local history museum and encourage residents and visitors to explore more of what the Royal Borough has to offer. Although we are currently closed for refurbishment, we are looking for more volunteers to commit to a minimum of two hours volunteering time a week to support us when we reopen in Spring 2026.
- Welcoming visitors.
- Answering enquiries about the local area, museum displays and Windsor Guildhall.
- Serving customers and taking payment for purchases.
- Inputting data to support the operation of the museum.
- Leading visitors on an informative guided tour.
- Supporting income generation for the museum.
- Sharing knowledge and passion for local history.
- Helping with events and activities.
