Volunteering at the Museum

Windsor & Royal Borough Museum is located on the ground floor at Windsor Guildhall. We are currently open on Tuesdays 10am-4pm. We will be open 10-4pm on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7 January 2025. Volunteers bring enthusiasm and inspiration to our local history museum and encourage residents and visitors to explore more of what the Royal Borough has to offer. We are currently looking for volunteers to commit to a minimum of two hours volunteering time a week to support our opening hours.

  • Welcoming visitors.
  • Answering enquiries about the local area and the museum displays.
  • Serving customers and taking payment for purchases.
  • Inputting data to support the operation of the museum.
  • Leading visitors on an informative guided tour.
  • Supporting income generation for the museum.
  • Sharing knowledge and passion for local history.
  • Helping with events and activities.
