Volunteering at the Museum

Although we are currently closed for refurbishment, we are looking for more volunteers to commit to a minimum of two hours volunteering time a week to support us when we reopen in Spring 2026.

Windsor & Royal Borough Museum is located on the ground floor at Windsor Guildhall. 

Volunteer tasks include:

• Welcoming visitors.
• Answering enquiries about the local area, museum displays and Windsor Guildhall.
• Serving customers and taking payment for purchases.
• Inputting data to support the operation of the museum.
• Leading visitors on an informative guided tour.
• Supporting income generation for the museum.
• Sharing knowledge and passion for local history.
• Helping with events and activities.
