Literary Tea with Elizabeth Ascot

Sunninghill Library

Saturday 28 February 2026, 2.30pm - 3.30pm.

Join us for tea with a Victorian governess from South Ascot and discover the extraordinary ladies who once lived in our area.

Local author and screenwriter-producer Agnes Fernandes, will present the first novel in the Elizabeth Ascot series, Treasure in the Attic / The Extraordinary Ladies of Ascot.

The novel interweaves a modern-day fashion designer’s story with that of a Victorian governess in 1860s Ascot—both stories inspired by real women who lived and made history in the local area.

The event will feature live readings by an actress, a Q&A session with the author, and a tasting of Victorian Black, the artisan tea inspired by the book. Agnes will also share stories of her research into local Victorian history and her friendship with legendary fashion designer Hubert de Givenchy, which helped shape the contemporary narrative.

Tickets can be purchased on Eventbrite.
