Windsor Library - S.J Bennett Author Interview Event

S.J. Bennett is the author of the bestselling mystery series featuring Queen Elizabeth II as an investigator.

Over a career spanning fifteen novels, she has won the Romantic Novelist of the Year award, and been shortlisted for the Crime Writer’s Association Whodunnit Dagger award.

'The Queen Who Came In From The Cold' is set in 1961 and tells the story of the Queen travelling on the royal train where she is met by an unreliable witness who claims to have seen a brutal murder. Did it really happen, and could the victim be a missing friend of Princess Margaret's new husband, Tony Armstrong Jones?

This interview is a fantastic chance for Sophia Bennett to share her insights at Windsor Library on her writing processes, answer questions and engage with the audience.

Windsor Library - Author Talk with Peter Durrant

Thursday 20 November 2025, 7pm.

In this talk, the author traces the history of Lieutenancy in Berkshire, from the tumultuous days of the Tudors, through the turmoil of Civil War, the constitutional crisis of 1688/89 and the relative calm of the eighteenth century, until the French Revolution.

Berkshire Lord- Lieutenants have included courtiers and members of the Royal Family as well as leading local individuals. 

The common thread uniting them all is their position as the personal representative of the Crown in this Royal County.

Windsor Library - Tea and Talk with Author Agnes Fernandes

Friday 21 November 2025, 4pm.

Agnes will be talking about her Elizabeth Ascot series at Windsor Library.

Sandwiches, scones, jam and cream will be served. There will also be gift sets available to purchase.

The historical and modern fiction novel series is paired with artisan tea blends for an immersive and multi-sensory reading experience.

The stories are set in Ascot England, and explore themes of women's solidarity and resilience.

Windsor Library - Vinyl Frontier Listening Party

Friday 21 November 2025, 7pm.

To celebrate Windsor Library's 30th birthday, we're spinning back the clock with a Vinyl Frontier Listening Evening like no other.

There will be a visual and audio presentation to tell a story to the music and a bar will be available.

Expect iconic tracks straight from 1995, the golden age of the 90's - when CDs ruled, Britpop reigned and mixtapes were pure magic.

Roll up, roll up! Clive the Juggler is returning to Cox Green Library for a children's workshop packed with fun and circus flair. Ages 7+. Remembrance. A Century of Commemoration and Tradition with Major Brian Rogers.
