Join the library

If you are not already a library member, you can join at any of our libraries or join online.

We are now issuing library cards as digital only. If you don't have a smart phone, we can issue you with a plastic card. Please speak to a member of staff. 

Users will need to download our Library App after joining online if they wish to use their digital membership. 

Borrowing and downloading items

To activate your card, sign it and read the library terms and conditions.

• You can borrow up to 30 items and also download up to 10 audiobooks and ebooks at a time.
• You can also download an unlimited number of eNewspapers and eMagazines.
• If it's more convenient, you can return items to a different Borough library, or a library of one of our SELMS partners.
• You will need your membership number to use library computers.
