Lawful basis for processing the information
General Data Protection Regulation Article 6(1)(e) – processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller.
How we collect information
Information is provided by sponsors on paper forms or over the telephone or via an online form. Information will also be gathered from sponsors’ existing Council tax accounts.
Information we collect
We collect the following information to process our application:
- Name, address,
- age, date of birth,
- email address and phone number,
- the number of individuals aged under 18 in your household, ID card number, nationality, if you have dual nationality, passport details, sex and your bank details.
- We may also record other relevant information that you provide us relevant to your application.
How we use the information provided
We use this information to administer the ‘Homes for Ukraine’ Scheme.
Who has access to the information about you
Council departments which are relevant to the scheme which include:
- Adults services
- Environmental Health
- Human Resources
- Housing
- Resident and Library services
- Revenue and Benefits
- Transformation.
Who we may share your information with
We will share this information with our partners Achieving for Children and Optalis where necessary for safeguarding purposes. We may also share information and statistics with central government departments where required to do so.
How long we store your information
Information will be retained for no longer than necessary and for a maximum of eight years.
