Royal Borough takes major step forward in delivering flagship homelessness support project

John West House, a purpose built council owned facility completed at the end of 2025, will provide a mix of supported accommodation and high quality, self contained temporary homes for people facing homelessness or housing insecurity.

The Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead is stepping up its zero-tolerance crackdown on littering and fly tipping, with more than 2,750 fixed penalty notices issued since April 2025 - as part of the council’s drive to create a cleaner, greener and safer borough.

Residents have reported high levels of satisfaction with adult social care services in the Royal Borough, as a new report highlights improvements in quality of life, independence and overall experience.

Over 80 good quality items donated to charity during Preloved to Reloved event

Over 150 residents came along to an event to donate bulky items to charity – promoting reuse and waste minimisation. Around 80 good quality items were donated to Thames Hospice, with six items donated to The Baby Bank on the day.
