Is planning permission required

Permitted development

To ascertain if your proposal does not require planning permission please refer to the interactive house on the Planning Portal.

Should you require confirmation that a proposal does not require planning permission, you can make an application for a Certificate of lawfulness.

Have permitted development rights been removed

To ascertain whether permitted development rights have been removed from an individual property you will need to request to view a copy of the decision notice.

An Article 4 directive may remove permitted development rights from a widespread location.
