Building Control fees and charges

Building Control charges from Wednesday 1 April 2026. Charges quoted are inclusive of VAT at 20.0%.

Miscellaneous charges

• Copy existing document: £20.00.
• Re-opening old applications over three years since last visit: £124.00.
• First re-issue of completion certificate if no inspection or review is required: £67.00.
• Trial hole inspection - this will be deducted from a subsequent application fee if made within six months: £103.00.
• Pre-application advice, per hour or part there of (first hour free): £109.00.
• Cancellation of application or withdrawal of application: £37.00 if no surveyor involvement. Plan fee or hourly rate for any surveyor involvement in checking works.
• Building Control Support to BSR £109.00 per hour.
