The trial also aims to support local businesses over quieter winter months by making it more affordable for visitors and shoppers to stay longer in Windsor and Eton.

From 1 October to 30 November 2025, and again from 2 January to 31 March 2026, parking stays between two and five hours will cost up to 25% less at the following locations:

During this period, the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead will be reviewing usage across the three car parks to measure the impact this has had on visitor rates to the town.

Councillor Geoff Hill, Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport, said: “We’ve listened to feedback from residents and local businesses, and we’re pleased to introduce this trial of reduced parking fees in Windsor.

“By making it more affordable to park, we aim to boost footfall, support our high streets during the quieter months, and create a more inviting experience for everyone who comes to enjoy what Windsor and Eton has to offer.

“We’ll be monitoring the results closely to understand how this initiative benefits the Royal Borough.”
