The draft Maidenhead Neighbourhood Plan sets out the community’s aspirations for local development up to 2039. Developed through the Maidenhead Neighbourhood Forum, the Plan helps share the type, location, size, and design of developments, and complements planning policies already set in the borough’s Local Plan.
The Royal Borough is now inviting comments and views on the draft plan ahead of it being reviewed by an independent examiner to ensure it meets certain necessary conditions. After this review, the final plan is put to a referendum with residents.
People can submit comments by 11.59pm on Tuesday 14 October 2025 via: https://rbwm-consult.objective.co.uk/kse. Physical copies of the draft plan and response forms are also available at Maidenhead Library and Boyn Grove Library. Comments can also be emailed to planning.consultation@rbwm.gov.uk or posted to the council.
Councillor Adam Bermange, Cabinet Member for Planning, Governance and Asset Management, said “Neighbourhood plans are produced by communities and help them shape a shared vision for development in their area.
“Thank you to Maidenhead Neighbourhood Forum for developing the draft plan, and to everyone who has contributed the process so far. We welcome all Maidenhead residents and businesses to share their views on the draft plan.”
