This is the next part of the scheme, managed by the council in partnership with NHS Frimley, which has supported over 50 local organisations.
Projects from the Innovation Fund are wide in scope and include groups to encourage and protect biodiversity, football sessions for children, and yoga for Asian women – helping to support wellbeing in communities, tackle inequalities and improve access to services.
Applications for this sixth round opened this week (8 September) and is due to close at midnight on Sunday 9 November. It offers one-off funding per successful application of up to £5,000 to get their projects up and running.
Cllr Catherine del Campo, Cabinet Member for Adult Services, Health & Housing Services, said: “As the previous successful applicants have shown, they know best what’s needed in their communities; what will work best to improve health and wellbeing.
“This funding enables residents and local organisations to get new projects off the ground and make a positive change in their communities. So, if you have a great idea that’s sustainable in the long term, please do apply.”
