Summer Reading Challenge Events

It's that time of year again!

Summer Reading Challenge officially launched in our libraries on Saturday 12 July 2025 and we have a variety of crafts and events in the spirit of this year's theme, Story Garden.

All events are suitable for children aged 11 and under.

Ascot Library

  • Make a Flower. Thursday 21 August 2025, 3pm.
  • Make a Mini Garden. Wednesday 27 August 2025, 11am.

Suitable for ages 4 to 11.

Boyn Grove

  • Blow Painting. Wednesday 20 August 2025, 3pm.
  • Rainbow Tissue Paper Craft. Wednesday 27 August 2025, 3pm.
  • Salt Painting. Wednesday 3 September 2025, 3pm.

Suitable for ages 10 and under.

Cookham Library

  • Build your own Story Garden. Every Friday from 1 August 2025, 3pm.

Suitable for ages 4 to 11.

Cox Green Library

  • Beaded Wind Chimes. Wednesday 20 August 2025, 11am.
  • Bird Buddy Craft. Friday 22 August 2025, 3pm.

Suitable for ages 4 to 11.

  • Storytime and Bee Hat Craft. Thursday 28 August 2025, 11am.

Suitable for ages 5 and under.
