We can provide a temporary resident permit if:
- You are in the process of changing your vehicle (valid for a period of up to 14 days). You will need to return your current Resident Permit before you apply for your new permanent Resident Permit.
- Your vehicle is off the road due to mechanical failure, damage or scheduled maintenance, and you are using a hire vehicle (valid for a period of up to one month).
The permit will be sent by e-mail. The permit should be printed off and displayed in the vehicle in order to avoid a Penalty Charge Notice.
Parking should not commence until a valid permit is clearly displayed in the windscreen of the vehicle. You are expected to find alternative parking until your permit arrives.
You will need to provide supporting documents such as:
- copy of a lease agreement,
- letter from a garage,
- letter from the insurance company,
- proof of ownership.
Please note that failure to provide the correct documentation will mean that the permit cannot be issued.
