A Contravention is an action that is against a law or rule.
All our Penalty Charge Notices (PCN's) are issued under the Traffic Management Act (TMA) 2004. These guidelines have been brought in by the Government on a national basis.
The borough is patrolled by Civil Enforcement Officers (CEO's).
There are two levels of contravention a higher and lower level.
- Higher level contraventions are charged at £70.00 reducing by 50% to £35.00 if paid within 14 days.
- Lower level contraventions are charged at £50.00 reducing by 50% to £25.00 if paid within 14 days.
