Berkshire Pension Board

  • Assists the Administering Authority in its role as a scheme manager of the Pension Scheme, namely ensure pension scheme governance complies with legislation and regulation and ensure the effective and efficient governance and administration of the Scheme.
  • Established by the Administering Authority and operates independently of the Pension Fund Panel and Pension Fund Advisory Panel.
  • Works closely with the Pension Fund Committee.
  • Membership: No Councillors; made up of the Board Chair, relevant officers and Scheme Member and Scheme Employer representatives.
  • Number of meetings: Four meetings per year.
  • Start time: 10:30am or 11am.
  • Virtual or in person: Virtual.

Berkshire Pension Fund Committee

  • To exercise the general powers and duties of an administering authority in the maintenance of the Royal County of Berkshire Pension Fund, responsible for setting strategies, statutory policies and considering annual reports of the Fund.
  • Membership: Five Councillors.
  • Number of meetings: Four meetings per year.
  • Start time: Mondays at 4pm.
  • Virtual or in person: In person, usually held in the Council Chamber.
