Fees for verifications and other weights and measures work are charged on an hourly cost based on the provision of a single weights and measures inspector. This reflects salary levels plus all the necessary on-cost for the delivery of this service.
The hourly rate is £90 for a weights and measures inspector.
If a particular piece of work requires the presence of support staff then an additional charge will be made. The hourly cost for a technical officer would be £60.
Similarly additional charges will be levied if we are required to hire in specialist equipment.
