The Royal Borough’s preferred joint venture partner for the Maidenhead Golf Club site is CALA Homes.
The site will deliver more than 2,000 homes, including 30% affordable, as well as a new primary and secondary school, public open space, community hub and supporting infrastructure.
Council agreed to appoint CALA Homes on Thursday 19 July 2018 from a final shortlist of three developers following a competitive tendering exercise.
The golf club offers a highly sustainable location to provide housing in the borough with excellent transport links including short walking distance to Crossrail services at Maidenhead railway station from next year and the wider town centre amenities.
An agreement was struck in July 2016 between the Royal Borough and Maidenhead Golf Club to surrender their lease of the land. Under the agreement the club can surrender their lease between May 2019 and May 2023.
