Biodiversity Duty report

Local Authorities must publish a report detailing the agreed policies and objectives they have put in place to fulfil this duty, and provide details of actions taken within the reporting period.

Details are also required of the Biodiversity Gain Plans approved by the LPA within the reporting period, to demonstrate how developments are meeting their statutory requirement to achieve 10% Biodiversity Net Gain.

The first report covers two years from  Monday 1 January 2024 - Wednesday 31 December 2025 and can be found at the link below. Subsequent reports will be published at least every five years.
