2025-2026

Siân Martin, Deputy Mayor
Tim Martin, Deputy Mayor's Consort

Siân was born in Tiverton, Devon in 1969.  She moved to Maidenhead in 1972 when her father gained a new job at Thames Valley University in Ealing.

Siân went to school in Cox Green, where she spent her childhood with her younger sister, Francesca.

She left home at 19 to study Graphic Design at Arts University, Plymouth.  She returned to Maidenhead in 1990 and started a new job as a magazine designer for The Item Group in Burnham.

Six years later she became an Art Director at Electronic Arts in Langley. This experience inspired Siån to set up her own design business with her husband, Tim. Their company, MDM Creative, is still successful today and now runs alongside their print shop, MaidenheadPrinting.com, which they opened four years ago.

Siân and Tim have been married for 23 years and have a wonderful daughter, Aela, who attended school locally.  Aela is about to embark on her university journey and has applied to study Photography.

Siân has supported many charities through her design work with Autism Berkshire being one of her oldest clients.  In addition her print store is a Drop Point for Foodshare where Siân and Tim endeavour to help wherever possible.

Sian and Tim also own two retired greyhounds and have volunteered for Hersham Hounds, based in Weybridge.  Her council role has given Sian the opportunity to work alongside the charities Spoore Merry & Rixman, Pooles & Rings and People to Places – something she very much enjoys.

Siân was first elected to the Belmont ward in 2023, which covers the area from St Marks/Courthouse to St Luke’s/Cookham Road.

Tim was born in Alresford, Hampshire but soon moved to Shropshire where he lived until 1984.  He later moved back to Hampshire to work within the accounting software industry.

Within three years he had made Maidenhead his home for the first time. Work took him briefly to the Midlands again only for him to return to Maidenhead where he met Sian and made Maidenhead his permanent home in 1996.

Tim has a keen interest in assisting the homeless and supports the Maidenhead Foodshare charity whenever he can.
