Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, please supply the following, as at the date of this request:
1. The number of houses in multiple occupation (HMOs) in your area currently holding a licence under Part 2 of the Housing Act 2004, split between mandatory licensing and, where you operate one, additional licensing.
2. Of those, the number where the licence holder or the manager named on the licence is Serco Ltd, Mears Group, Clearsprings Ready Homes Ltd, or any other provider of Home Office asylum accommodation, and the total maximum permitted occupancy of those properties.
3. The street in your area with the most licensed HMOs, and the number on that street.
4. The licensed HMO in your area with the highest maximum permitted number of occupants, giving that number and the type of building (for example, converted house, former hotel, purpose-built block). The address is not required.
5. Whether the council operates an additional licensing scheme for smaller HMOs, and if so the area it covers and the date it started.
6. The council’s estimate of the total number of HMOs in its area, licensed and unlicensed, as reported at item f8a of its most recent Local Authority Housing Statistics return.
