FOI003676 FOI Business Rates

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I would like to request the council's current list of non-domestic (business) rates accounts.

For every hereditament on the council's non-domestic rates system, please provide:

1. Ratepayer name, where the ratepayer is not a natural person (for example a limited company, LLP, charity or public body) 2. Billing authority property reference number 3. Full property address, including postcode 4. Property description (for example "Offices and premises") and, if held, the VOA description code 5. Current rateable value 6. Liability start date for the current ratepayer 7. Any relief or exemption currently applied, with its type and start date, including:
- small business rate relief
- empty-property relief or exemption, and the empty-from date
- mandatory and discretionary charitable relief
- retail, hospitality and leisure relief, and any other relief

Where the ratepayer is an individual, such as a sole trader or partnership, I understand that the name may be withheld under section 40(2). Please leave the name blank or mark it as redacted, but keep the rest of the row.

If possible, please provide the information as a CSV file, or failing that an Excel spreadsheet, in a machine-readable format as described in section 11(1A) of the Act. I would also be grateful for any historic versions of the same list the council holds, for example quarterly or annual extracts from the last few years, in the same format.

If the whole request would exceed the cost limit, please tell me how to narrow it, as section 16 provides. I would rather receive the current list alone than nothing.
